Evansville Memorial's Myla Browning: Top Junior Season Performances (After One Month)

 

- A 5'9" junior shooting guard at Memorial High School in Evansville, Indiana.

- Is shooting a blistering 50 percent on threes through 10 games this season (16/32).

- Currently averaging 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game overall for the Tigers thus far during her junior campaign.

- Scored 14 points in a 55-54 win at Jasper on Nov. 18, connecting on two-of-three from three-point range and four-of-six from the free-throw line.

- Her only basket was a three-pointer in a 49-48 victory over Mater Dei (IL) on Nov. 25 during the Edwardsville shootout just outside of St. Louis. Myla also contributed three rebounds and two assists in the win.

- Produced a jack-of-all-trades statline with 11 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals in a 69-47 win at South Spencer on Nov. 30.

- Made all four of her three-point attempts during a 69-39 win over Vincennes Lincoln on Dec. 12, scoring a season-high 18 points along with five rebounds, six assists, and a block.

- Recorded six points (2/2 on FT's), three rebounds, six assists, and four steals in a 59-40 win at North Central (Indianapolis) last Saturday.

- A two-sport star that plays soccer as well, Browning scored 18 goals last fall during her junior season alone, including an impressive accomplishment with four goals in one game at Vincennes Lincoln in a 10-1 Memorial Lady Tigers victory on Aug. 30.

- And as a sophomore, Browning also had a nice game when North Central payed visit to Memorial, as she contributed nine points, six rebounds, and two assists in the 61-39 win on Dec. 17, 2022.

A two-time regional champion, Hughes concluded her prep career with averages of 9.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for the Lady Eagles. - A 5'2" lefty-hitting freshman at North Posey High School in Poseyville, Indiana. - A high average hitter with good speed and a touch of power. - Batted .391 with two doubles, two triples, one home run, and 11 runs batted in as a freshman during the spring of 2024. - Hit a triple in her first career start for the Vikings at South Knox on Apr. 9, going 3-5 with two runs scored. - Went 1-3 with a double and drove in two runs in a 11-0 win over Shakamak on Apr. 20. - Stole two bases during a 15-3 victory over South Spencer on Apr. 26. - Went 2-3 with two runs scored in a 7-0 win over Pike Central on May 7. - Hit her first career home run in the fourth inning of an 8-5 victory over Mt.
