Caston's Isabel Scales: Junior Season Top Performances (2022-23)

  - A 5'8" senior guard at Caston High School in Fulton, Indiana and commit of Bethel University. - Averaged 16.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 3.3 steals per game in 23 games during her junior season in 2022-23, as the Lady Comets went 20-3. - As she had been known to do, Scales continued to make getting to the free-throw line into an art form, where she went 103-of-138 (75 percent) as a junior. - Recorded nine double-doubles during the 2022-23 season. - One of those double-doubles came in a 41-31 win over rival Pioneer on Dec. 13, 2022, when Isabel produced 19 points and 10 rebounds. - Opened her junior season with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists in a 54-38 victory over Argos on Nov. 3. - Scored a season-high 29 points to go along with 12 rebounds and seven steals in a 59-51 win at Peru on Nov. 8. - Recorded 18 points and seven rebounds during a 26-23 win at North Judson-San Pierre on Dec. 8. - Totaled 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a 50-37

Starting Lineup : G - Maddie Nipper (Senior, Charlestown): A natural point guard that I've long claimed to be the best shooter that follows me, Maddie received free reign of the Charlestown program after an injury to Kennedy Coleman , and as a result made nine threes in a single game during a win over Madison in early January. G - Alli Harness (Senior, Carroll (Flora)): This one is a no-brainer. My first ever Q&A participant when she was a freshman molded herself into a 2000 point scorer. On the cusp of 250 career threes, enough said. Alli is the GOAT of my blogging age, and on this team she would be relieved of the burden of running the team and can focus more exclusively on scoring.   - A 5'8" senior center/power forward at East Noble High School in Kendallville, Indiana. - Averaged 8.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game as a junior during the 2022-23 season. - Opened said junior campaign with 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists in a 55-37 win over Westview on Nov. 5, 2022. - Recorded eight points and seven rebounds during a 60-53 loss at Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on Nov. 15. - Scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 44-37 victory at New Haven on Dec. 3. - Went four-of-six from the free-throw line en route to six points and six rebounds at Angola on Jan. 4, 2023. - When Payton worked out a double-double, the Knights were winners in 2022-23.
